Thank You to Our Arena Partners for Supporting Student Skating
A huge thank you to the Arena Board and to Jordan for sharpening skates and supporting Bassano School students in their skating activities. Their generosity, particularly in sharpening donated skates, ensures that all students have the opportunity to participate fully, regardless of equipment availability.
Bassano’s community recreation facilities play a vital role in our school programming. Access to the skating rink, bowling alley, golf course, swimming pool, and disc golf course allows us to offer rich, hands-on learning experiences that support physical literacy, confidence, and student well-being. Our close proximity to the rink means that most grade levels have had the chance to skate this year, an opportunity that simply isn’t possible in many larger centres.
One of the many strengths of being a true community school is the support we receive from the Town of Bassano, local facilities, community businesses, and families. The accessibility and quality of these facilities, and the people who make them work, are a significant perk of the Bassano School -community relationship and a point of pride for us all.
We are grateful for the ongoing partnership and for the role our arena plays in helping every student get on the ice and be involved.
